I could just kick myself!! I left work yesterday evening & saw these amazing skies off in the distance. I knew exactly where to go, just a bit above town to get the right shot... only I didn't have my good camera with me. It would have been only a tad out of the way to go grab it... but I was just feeling a little too tired (and hungry!) after work to make the side trip. Big mistake! My little 4 megapixel point & shoot just doesn't do this amazing show of nature justice!

great pictures. the sun lights came strong. the effect with the clouds makes it more interesting.
They are beautiful anyway, Becky! I once missed out on a perfect double rainbow! I was so irritated with myself!
My Verification Word is 'skyling'!
I think these are very stunning and pretty close to the real thing! Enjoy your weekend.
Still--heavenly shots!
I hear ya Becky. Those are some stunning skies.
Well I'm not sure how much more wonderful these would have been with your 'good' camera - these are great captures. Things could have been a lot worse ... like not having a camera with you.
Just remember .. 'a bird in the hand ...'
These still are great photos! I love the sun peeking through the clouds, leaving a stream of light. At least you had some kind of camera with you!
Becky, these are wonderful. All I have is a little point and shoot and I love it. xoxo
It is beautiful. At least you had a camera and we love it that you shared.
Your technique makes them shine! What radiance!
Amazing sky shots! The top one is truly fantastic.
You are entirely too modest! Each picture does a terrific job of catching the natural rays and the New Mexican sky, which is without parallel.
PS. I hope that you definitely will take your camera to the Plaza this week-end during Indian Market. I'm so jealous of anyone who will be there!!
Still very beautiful, Becky! I love looking at "busy" skies and enjoy cloud watching and star gazing...and sunset oohing and aahing ;-)
I only have one camera, a little insignificant Fuji, but then, I'm not a pro and just use it mostly for my crocheting and my dog ;-) I've still yet to learn how to use Macro and I've had it for over two years (I know, slap me!)
